Who We Want
We are looking for a Carrier Operations Manager who will help us build a second shift team for our Guadalajara, MX office, while also supporting our cross border operations team! The main responsibilities will be after-hours carrier coverage and cross-border carrier operations. In this position you will collaborate with U.S.-based leadership to ensure Carrier Operations pass off and border crossing is smooth after hours for our carrier partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Client Success & Carrier to create team goals, expectations, and communicate the message to your team leaders clearly and effectively
  • Answer call-ins - drive SOPs to cover freight (and prevent fraud)
  • Problem solve for cross-border carrier operations - trailers stuck at the border, communicate updates and problem solve, set up 1st shift for success
  • Be the Global point of contact for all Afterhours carrier escalations & carrier cross-border operations problem-solving
  • Partner with the Carrier and Client Success teams to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of our Carrier partners and Customer service levels
  • Communicate daily with our carrier and client success managers to get feedback on any of their needs
  • Report feedback to managers on any tough customers/carriers to get in contact with or any issues we may be having within their department
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and resolve performance issues
  • Support continued growth of after hours global services department in GDL
  • Train a team of new Coverage Specialists to develop their knowledge of the Logistics industry, the Arrive Business Model, and our proprietary software
  • Strategically evaluate Coverage Specialists capabilities and collaborate with business leaders to determine what career path fits their skillset (Sales, Coverage, Success or Accounting),
  • Set expectations for your team and ensure each team lead is meeting/exceeding their team’s goals through coaching and incentives
  • Partner with the management and the employee success team to resolve employee issues and manage team performance

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Carrier Sales experience or equivalent
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience; experience managing teams of more than 10 employees preferred
  • Passion to train and develop new Arrive employees
  • A dynamic leader with a bold presence and contagious attitude
  • Must have strong oral and written English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with management and peers alike.
  • Ability to sell into unique scenarios that are continuously evolving and strong abilities to teach basic sales skills to strip and sell freight
  • Must be willing to work from office M-F 1400-2300 CST and have availability for all after-hours shifts (24/7)
  • Experience influencing teams in other offices/countries
