Artera is seeking a strategic and influential Product Marketing Manager to lead our go-to-market (GTM) launches and supporting activities. This is a cross-functional role that sits between our product and engineering teams and the downstream market-facing counterparts and is pivotal in ensuring the success of our product launches. The ideal candidate will have experience in the healthcare industry and a background in SaaS, digital healthcare, or technology. They will be asked to build rapport and credibility with functions across the product value chain and need to be comfortable operating in both structured and ambiguous project contexts.
In this role, you will craft and execute on comprehensive GTM strategies, including managing product launches, influencing pricing and packaging, and developing compelling content and value stories. You will collaborate closely with product development, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of GTM plans. Your ability to manage and execute on cross-functional projects and influence others to drive projects forward is critical to being successful in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Product Launches: Manage all aspects of product launches, including launch planning, execution, and post-launch analysis. Work closely with product managers to support and understand coming launches and lead all downstream activity, activating functions throughout Artera to support the launch.
  • Pricing and Packaging: Influence and refine product pricing and packaging strategies to maximize market impact and revenue.
  • Content Creation: Develop compelling content and value stories that resonate with target customers and stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, sales, revenue operations, solution engineering, and customer success to ensure alignment and successful execution of GTM plans.
  • Market Research and Competitive Intelligence: Validate market research findings and gather competitive intelligence to inform product positioning and strategy.
  • Customer Engagement: Participate in customer pitch meetings to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, or a related field, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Healthcare industry knowledge including EHRs, patient engagement platforms, providers, payers, patient care workflows, etc.
  • Experience working in tech, preferably with software or SaaS products, and has knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities in this sector.
  • Ability to define and manage GTM plans aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and market expansion.

  • Support product launch including exposure management and creation of deliverables
  • Broadly support PMs in creating internal enablement and market facing content
  • Demonstrate ability to manage release calendars
  • Coordinate with internal education resources and support internal training sessions
  • Develop cross-functional relationships across the entire product value chain
  • Within 60 days you will…
  • Fully manage the GTM cycle for a new product release
  • Deepen relationships with stakeholders across the business, begin operating independently
  • Within 90 days you will…
  • Independently run a full product release
  • Manage portion of release calendar, define scope and responsibilities for several forthcoming launches
  • Contribute to more advanced launch deliverables, including pricing, packaging, market research, and competitive intelligence
  • Begin working on “upstream” product marketing work, including value creation story telling and work with customers
  • Beyond 90 days you will…
  • Continue to operate with increasing independence, taking on greater responsibility and scope
LOCATION
Artera values in-person collaboration and is currently hiring in the following US cities: Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Kansas City, and Philadelphia (Wayne).
Artera HQ is in Santa Barbara, CA, and we have an additional US office located in Philadelphia (Wayne), PA. If you live in the Santa Barbara or Philadelphia area, your role will be hybrid and you will be required to work out of your designated office location 3 days a week, unless otherwise noted in the job requirements.
If you live in Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, or Kansas City, your role will be remote to start. As our team continues to grow in these cities, Artera will be considering opening offices in these locations. Once that happens, you will be required to work out of your designated office location 3 days a week, unless otherwise noted in the job requirements.
