About this role:
We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategic direction and development of our enterprise business, with a focus on on-premise deployments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with at-scale data platforms in highly-regulated environments. The ability to interact with customers and set a high-level vision and direction is a must.

Product Vision and Strategy:
Define a clear and inspiring product vision for our largest customers that aligns company strategy, market trends, and customer requirements.
Develop a comprehensive product strategy, including the identification of target markets, customer segments, and key differentiators.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform the product roadmap.

Product Development:
Collaborate with a dedicated engineering team & engineering manager to translate the product vision into actionable product development plans.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that features are delivered on time and within scope.
Maintain a strong focus on Kubernetes-based solutions and the optimization of Apache Airflow for our customers.

Customer Engagement & GTM:
Work closely with sales and customer teams to understand the needs and pain points of our largest customers and tailor the product accordingly.
Communicate roadmap, timelines, and scope to all customers of Astronomer Software
Spend regular time on-site with our biggest customers to understand how they’re using the product and where we can drive additional value.
What you bring to the role:
Experience as a Product Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering technical products in the data platform or cloud services space.
Strong technical background and familiarity with Kubernetes and both cloud and on-premise computing environments
Exceptional ability to set a product vision and strategy that resonates with customers and the market.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated success in partnering with sales and customer teams to address the needs of large enterprise customers.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience working with open-source software communities.
Experience and knowledge of Apache Airflow.

The estimated salary for this role ranges from $200,000 - $250,000, along with an equity component. This range is merely an estimate, and the width of the range reflects willingness to consider candidates with broad prior seniority. Actual compensation may deviate from this range based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
