About The Team The operations team endeavours to continuously build and deliver a seamless and positive employee experience across the whole employee lifecycle. We're dedicated to leading with care and have empathy in mind. We strive to develop efficient and simple people processes, systems, policies, and programs. We aspire to ensure employees feel heard and that they are given the appropriate resources and support needed to be effective and efficient during their careers. Responsibilities 1. Lead the Japan HR Lifecycle team to ensure daily operation is accurate and on time; 2. Support stakeholders and employees through onboarding, job status change, leave and time management and offboarding processes, human resources-related documents management, and address unique local requirements such as article 36 agreement, disability hiring etc.; 3. Enhance people and workplace experience through localized initiatives throughout the employee lifecycle, focusing on process improvements, data analysis, and insights; 4. Provide support and knowledge to the business for the whole employee lifecycle, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance processes, systems and user experience; 5. Maintain partnerships with geographically distributed HRBPs, TA and other HR Operations team members; 6. Exercise independent judgment and discretion to determine appropriate actions or solutions to problems; 7. Focus on HR compliance, actively educate employees and managers on staying within legal guidelines regarding on-the-job behavior; 8. Partner with employee relation advisors, and other investigation boards in supporting investigation of employee relation related cases, and respond to stakeholder queries though a combination of referring to internal experts, and/or interpreting both policies and changes to policy.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications 1. 5 years of People Operations/Human Resources related experience, with proven experience in team management; 2. Strong understanding of labour/compliance laws and cultural nuances within Japan, and being able to put them into processes; 3. Leadership and influencing abilities - strong business partnering skills and HR acumen, including problem solving skills, logical thinking abilities, coaching skills, and project management; 4. Obsessed with improving employee experience, and can design and implement end-to-end HR solutions to engage with employees at all stages of the lifecycle; 5. Highly proficient and have excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English. Highly advantageous with Korean, Japanese and English language ability. Preferred Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree or above; 2. Certified as a Labor and Social Security Attorney; 3. Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech company.
