The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship from Jan 2026 onwards. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early. Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 6 months long internship period. Responsibilities - Payment Strategy Development: Support regional strategy leads to developing comprehensive and forward-thinking payment strategies aligned with overall business objectives and growth goals. - Market Research & Analysis: Analyze industry trends and gather market and sector insights to stay updated on developments in the ecommerce and payments industry, market changes, and emerging technologies. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration. - Project Management: Support the successful execution of payment-related initiatives, ensuring timely project delivery.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing undergraduate/master degree with a background in business management, finance or a related field. - Strong analytical and Excel skills, with experience in strategic research, data modeling, and business valuation. - Analytical mindset, capable of translating data into actionable insights and strategies, and proficient in interpreting financial statements. - Project management experience, with a focus on delivering results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; ability to adapt to cross-timezone collaboration in a challenging and flexible work setting. Preferred Qualifications: - Understanding of payment industry trends and emerging technologies; prior internship experience in investment, consulting, accounting, or finance is a plus. - Experience in market research is a plus.
