TERM: Approximately 6 months (August 2026-January 2027), with potential extension

As we grow, email and SMS play a critical role in engaging our community, driving revenue, and deepening relationships with donors and customers alike.

The Role

CUDDLY is seeking a hands-on Lifecycle Marketing Manager to support our next phase of growth by owning day-to-day email and SMS execution across fundraising, subscriptions, and pet food. This role will provide critical coverage during a maternity leave period while partnering closely with our VP of Growth to improve lifecycle marketing performance and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing a high-volume campaign calendar, and experienced with Klaviyo or similar lifecycle marketing platforms.

This role supports two distinct but connected businesses: CUDDLY's fundraising platform and CUDDLY Food. Success requires balancing mission-driven donor communications with product-focused customer lifecycle marketing.

What You’ll Own:

  • Email & SMS Execution
  • Build, schedule, QA, and launch email campaigns
  • Build, schedule, QA, and launch SMS campaigns
  • Manage weekly recurring fundraising communications
  • Execute fundraising, donor, and subscription lifecycle campaigns
  • Maintain campaign calendars and deployment schedules
  • Monitor campaign performance, investigate anomalies, and recommend optimization opportunities based on data

Lifecycle Operations

  • Manage donor, subscriber, and customer audience segmentation
  • Support lifecycle flow updates and optimization projects
  • Assist with campaign testing initiatives by developing hypotheses, executing A/B tests, and translating results into actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinate creative assets, copy, and approvals

Revenue & Performance Reporting

  • Produce weekly campaign performance reporting
  • Assist with monthly executive reporting
  • Track key lifecycle metrics including open rates, click rates, revenue, conversion rates, and retention performance

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with fundraising, customer service, creative, and growth teams
  • Ensure timely campaign execution around seasonal initiatives and organizational priorities
  • Support monthly donor impact and subscriber impact reporting

What We’re Looking For:

Required Experience

  • 3-5+ years managing lifecycle marketing, CRM, retention marketing, or email marketing programs for an eCommerce, subscription, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization
  • Deep experience with Klaviyo or similar enterprise lifecycle marketing platforms
  • Experience managing email and SMS programs with clear revenue, retention, or fundraising performance goals
  • Experience mapping and optimizing customer or donor journeys across multiple touchpoints
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to validate data and identify discrepancies across reporting sources before making recommendations
  • Partner with the VP of Growth on strategic lifecycle enhancement initiatives and identify growth opportunities through campaign performance, customer behavior, and lifecycle trends
  • Strong understanding of how lifecycle marketing integrates with acquisition channels such as Organic Social, Paid Media, and website experiences.
  • Strong copy editing and campaign QA skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Ability to translate campaign performance into clear business insights and recommendations for leadership
  • Experience evaluating CRM capabilities and lifecycle marketing best practices.
  • Experience working with segmentation based on behavior, purchase history, and value tiers
  • Data-driven and detail-oriented
  • Strong understanding of email analytics & multi-touch attribution
  • Ability to write clear, compelling, conversion-driven copy
  • Experience in nonprofit, subscription, eCommerce, or mission-driven organizations preferred

Details

  • Location & Travel: CUDDLY operates as a remote-first organization. Candidates located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are preferred, as much of the marketing and growth team is based there and regularly collaborates in person. However, exceptional remote candidates will be considered.
  • Compensation: $45-55 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Employment Type: Full-time contract position (approximately six months), with an expected commitment of 40 hours per week. There may be an opportunity for extension based on business needs and performance.
