Job Summary

The Pet Travel Consultant is responsible for providing comprehensive pet travel documentation services to GVL customers. This includes understanding customer needs, executing documentation, and communicating with veterinary customers to ensure regulatory compliance. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are key in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to GVL veterinary customers with clients/pets traveling internationally
• Ability to navigate the regulatory requirements for pets to travel internationally and be able to communicate the requirements clearly and efficiently
• Work with pet owners and GVL clinics to collect all needed owner, pet and travel information for the completion of international travel documentation
• Complete all travel documentation for clients and submit required documentation to the USDA for approval (endorsement), as required
• Identify and evaluate documentation creations processes and systems for improvements and provide feedback to the Product department
• Provide regulatory feedback to the Product department when new regulatory changes are discovered
• Build relationships with pet shipping industry members

Qualifications

• Knowledge of international pet travel regulations and processes
• Experience completing international health certificates for pets traveling to a wide variety of international locations
• Experience working with the USDA to secure endorsement of certificates utilizing the USDA’s Veterinary Export Health Certificates System (VEHCS)
• Two years of related experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask with extreme attention to detail
• Positive attitude, with problem solving mentality
• Proficient with GVL software platform preferred
