Job Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for the full cycle sale of GlobalVetLink SaaS portfolio. The portfolio consists of, not limited to, Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), Coggins/EIA, Extended Equine CVI, Domestic Travel pass, International Health Travel Pass, Rabies Certificates, Script Technology, LabLink Technology. We reach all animal health segments ranging from Companion Animal, Equine, Production Animal, Livestock Feed Distributors, Pharma, and National Lab Systems. This person will be able to implement a successful lead qualifying, appointment setting and overall sales strategy to the stakeholders and decision makers inside a veterinary practice. The core goal will be to increase your book of business by signing on new accounts and growing revenue. The ideal candidate will have a hunting mentality and always puts the customer first. This person is consistent, organized, and understands the veterinary practice workflow and overall animal health business. This candidate is hungry to grow their professional career in a hyper growth company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and execute a sales strategy
  • Provide input to the weekly/monthly forecast plan and meeting scheduled
  • Build and maintain new/existing customer relationships while understanding and addressing customer needs
  • Position the GVL solution to meet and exceed quota goals
  • Travel, as appropriate to industry events, tradeshows and customer sites effectively presenting, educating and demonstrating the GVL solutions. Ability to travel overnight.
  • Be an expert with respect to the products, market, and competition
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast paced, high reward environment
  • Follow up on all demos / leads that are within your pipeline, increasing the velocity in which you bring on new business
  • Exhibit professionalism in all internal and external environments exemplifying GVL’s core values
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a deep desire to bring value to the veterinary community through GVL’s SaaS portfolio
  • Monitor sales activity and report activity in company Contact Relationship Management (CRM) software per company guidelines and best practices to better define opportunities, project sales, and determine profitability


  • B.S./B.A. Degree, or equivalent and relevant experience
  • 5+ years’ experience of successful sales results in service industries selling directly to professionals within the Animal Health industry
  • Direct and phone sales experience required
  • Demonstrated hunter/challenger sales methodology
  • Highly goal oriented, with a deep desire to make an impact in the animal health industry
  • Verifiable history of rapid sales growth, consistently meeting or exceeding plan
  • Ability to think strategically and build strategic business plans within your designated geography
  • Strong presentation skills to professional and technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to create and foster relationships with industry players, agencies and key customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products
  • Working knowledge of Internet technologies and SaaS experience is highly desired.
  • Ability to work effectively with broad range of customer types ranging from end users to key decision makers, owners and/or executive level
  • Background in selling to Animal Health, Regulatory, and Veterinary Services and or software solutions desired
