Vice President of Technology
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Vice President of Technology to lead GrowthZone’s technology strategy and execution. Reporting to the COO, this senior leader will oversee our software engineering, DevOps, IT, and security functions—driving innovation, scalability, and reliability across our SaaS platform.
This role is more than maintaining systems—it’s about shaping the future of our technology organization and empowering associations nationwide through cutting-edge solutions. You’ll define a long-term vision, mentor a high-performing distributed team, and ensure seamless collaboration across Product, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.
A Typical Day
A typical day may include meeting with product leaders to align on priorities, reviewing performance metrics with your DevOps and engineering directors, and evaluating opportunities to leverage AI for product innovation. You’ll oversee the delivery of secure, scalable code and infrastructure, ensure performance KPIs are met, and promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence. You’ll also serve as the executive sponsor for GrowthZone’s annual TechCon hackathon, bringing together teams to innovate and collaborate.
After one year, you’ll know you were successful if:
  • You’ve built and retained a high-performing, unified technology organization aligned with business goals.
  • Software and infrastructure delivery consistently meet quality, security, and performance standards.
  • The company’s technology roadmap is clearly defined, measurable, and advancing our strategic objectives.
  • Collaboration across Product, Customer Success, and Executive teams is seamless and outcome-focused.
  • The engineering organization operates with clear metrics—on-time delivery, system reliability, and predictable performance.
What you’ll bring
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering roles, including at least 5 years in senior leadership (PE-backed experience preferred).
  • Proven success managing large distributed SaaS teams across engineering, DevOps, and IT.
  • Strong technical background in scalable SaaS architecture, AWS/Azure cloud operations, automation, and modern SDLC practices.
  • Experience architecting and deploying AI-driven solutions in multi-cloud environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Salary and Benefits
At GrowthZone, we pay commensurate with experience and skills, and as a remote-first company, we adjust compensation based on local market data to ensure fairness and competitiveness across all locations. The US salary range for this position is $215,000 - $250,000.

We provide a comprehensive benefits package for our full-time team members, including medical, dental, and vision plans with company contributions to HSAs/FSAs, company-paid life insurance, long-term disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match. Employees also benefit from bi-weekly payroll, Responsible Time Off (RTO), 13 paid holidays, and 10 days of Sick and Safe Time annually. Our core business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CT, with managers able to approve flexible or compressed schedules to support work-life balance.
