Company Overview

ID.me simplifies how people securely prove and share their identity online. The company empowers people to control their data through a portable and trusted login, which means they don’t need to create a new password when visiting sites that have the ID.me button.

The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated digital migration for many critical services. Those services require a trusted identity to safeguard against fraud and help ensure people are who they claim to be. With ID.me, login and identity credentials move with people, which can reduce the time and frustration of having to verify at multiple sites and set up multiple passwords.

ID.me is a credential service provider compliant with federal standards for digital identity verification.

In addition to helping people control their credentials and data, the company’s “No Identity Left Behind” initiative strives to expand access and inclusion for all people. The company offers multiple pathways to verification – online self-serve, live video chat agents, and in person. ID.me is passionate about building a robust identity network that does not compromise access for traditionally underserved groups.

Why do we need a Product Marketer?

The Marketplaces and Community Sales teams have built strong momentum together, and have significant growth ambitions for FY 24 and beyond (see Communities and Marketplace GTM for additional details). To achieve these ambitions, critical roadmap enhancements for both platforms will need to be delivered to the market efficiently and effectively. We currently lack the proper “connective tissue” to do this, and believe that, in order to optimize our go-to-market motion, we need a dedicated Product Marketer for Marketplaces and Communities.

Where would they focus?

The Product Marketer would:

  • Drive the go-to-market component of the product release process for Communities and Marketplace, including targeting, positioning, and pricing.
  • Develop market-facing content for use in both direct sales and demand generation efforts.
  • Co-create training regimens for AEs and AMs in close partnership with Sales Enablement.
  • Build and maintain a tight feedback loop to capture Voice of Customer for future products and enhancements.
  • Face the market as a subject matter expert in supporting strategic opportunities and accounts.
  • Monitor the Communities and Marketplace ecosystems and ensure competitive intelligence is funneled to both Product and Sales
  • Create a Product Advisory Group composed of our most strategic customers

What background would they have?

We would pursue a candidate with:

  1. An established track record as an execution-focused Product Marketer
  2. Experience bringing Marketplace, MarTech, or Ecomm solutions to market
  3. Strong project management skills specific to product release processes
  4. Exceptional written communication skills
  5. Top tier analytical horsepower and fast clock speed
  6. MBA from a top program

Who would they report to?

The Product Marketer would report directly to Nishant Banore, and work closely with Dave Kirkland. In addition to Sales, the Product Marketer would also collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Revenue Operations, and FP&A. All teams would be involved in the interview and hiring process.
