The carrier sales are in charge of tracking the loads that are in the system, verifying previous load information, and confirming drivers' hours through e-mails and phone calls. They are also in charge of confirming information before dispatching a load through carrier 411. The Carrier Sales Representatives also ensure that the load is picked up, transported, and delivered on time to meet and/or exceed our client’s expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Use TMS to its fullest potential to maximize the freight transportation life cycle from beginning to end.
  • Ability to negotiate rates “on the spot”. Carrier sourcing and negotiations.
  • Able to understand, navigate and use Load Boards, carrier market/offer rates and offer rate from DAT/ITS/Truckstop/Revenova.
  • Order management: Data integrity, correct data errors, monitor and resolve load integrity issues, including managing Check calls/Track and Trace through delivery accurately. Updating load information and providing email to customers updates.
  • Promptly, accurately, and effectively update to Account Managers, Ops Manager and (II) customers.
  • Understanding carrier setup process and compliance requirements.
  • Source, onboard, and build relationships with carriers.
  • Choose correct equipment based on freight and customer needs.
  • Ask the appropriate questions to avoid issues during transport.
  • Manage the movements of shipments in real time, resolving issues that arise while the load is in transit and ensuring service metrics are met or exceeded, and the SOPs are followed. Coordinate pickups and deliveries.
  • Support accounting in team meeting customer requirements for AP/AR billing issues, providing answers, and closing the gap with finance.
  • Manage entire operations of certain customer accounts with Minimal oversight. Ability to prioritize and handle customer quotes related to the managed accounts and prioritize load coverage independently.

Other skills: Multitasking, phone-email-notes, taking important messages. Time management and organizational skills. Ability to answer a high volume of calls and emails daily.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • B2 High - C1 English Level
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, transportation, logistics or related field.
  • Interpersonal business relationship, customer service experience.
