Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for our customer accounts and growing these accounts by developing relationships with our customer contacts, planners, and facilities to increase volume and gross margin. Reps must possess a deep understanding of the customer’s commitments, contractual agreements, and expectations and adhere to them to successfully grow the account(s).
Responsibilities:
Its functions are the following, however, they are not limited to:
• Understand commitments, policies, contracted rates, accessorial schedules, fuel schedules, vendor agreements, KPI’s and challenges for each account.
• Develop strong relationships with all customer contacts and facilities.
• Accept/reject, activate, build, schedule, create/update/resolve incidents, quote, and cancel, when necessary, all customer shipments, including adding all pertinent information and documentation.
• Manage daily load board and take responsibility for ensuring that loads are serviced properly through tracking, Offer Manager negotiation and working with shippers to make creative carrier options work.
• Build and maintain respectful relationships with shippers and carrier department.
• Identify and communicate (potential) problems to the appropriate parties and provide solutions.
• Prioritize and respond to both internal and external requests in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
• Update and resolve incidents regularly; manage accessorial objectively while maximizing profit.
• Organize and analyze data to identify new opportunities and potential threats.
Education:
Technologists or professional graduated or studying careers related to Logistics, Business administration, Business, International relations, Industrial engineer (preferable) but not a must.
