What you will be doing:
We are seeking an experienced Senior IAM Engineer with strong expertise in the Ping Identity Suite to design, implement, and operate secure authentication and federation services at scale.
This role will support ~125 applications as an Identity Provider (IdP) for Single Sign-On (SSO), ensuring high availability, strong security, and seamless user experience across enterprise systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Ping Identity Suite
- Strong expertise in:
- PingFederate
- PingAccess
- PingOne
- PingID
- Proven experience supporting large-scale IdP environments (100+ applications)
- Deep understanding of authentication and federation protocols:
- SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, WS-FED
- Hands-on experience with integration kits for:
- Microsoft IIS, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat
- IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic
- Strong knowledge of JWT (JSON Web Tokens) and session/token management
- Experience with identity security concepts: MFA, SSO, federation, RBAC
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in distributed authentication systems
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with Zero Trust architectures
- Familiarity with cloud identity integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Experience with monitoring tools and SIEM integrations
- Knowledge of API security and gateway integrations
- Ping certifications or equivalent IAM certifications
