Position Title: FullStack Developer

What you will be doing:
We are seeking a Senior API Integration Developer with a fullstack focus to build and maintain integrations within COBRA, the City’s bespoke IAM middleware platform. This role will focus on developing secure, scalable APIs that bridge multiple identity systems, including PingFederate, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, and Active Directory. The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering skills in Node.js and Express.js, frontend experience with React, and deep knowledge of secure API design using JWT-based authentication.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in API development and system integration
- Strong backend development experience with:
- Express.js
- Frontend development experience with React
- Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization using JWT tokens
- Hands-on experience integrating IAM systems such as:
- PingFederate
- SailPoint Identity Security Cloud
- Active Directory / LDAP
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration (deployment, debugging, performance tuning)
- Experience with secure coding practices and API security standards
- Strong troubleshooting skills in distributed and integrated environments
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) flows
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools
- Exposure to IAM/PAM/IGA ecosystems and identity lifecycle processes
