Position Title: Senior Backend Developer
Location: LATAM
What you will be doing:
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to help design and evolve the system's powering. In this role, you will work closely with the project to lead to scale optimization and simulation systems, enabling innovative, data-driven solutions across the business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new services, champion scalable architecture, and uphold strong engineering standards. The ideal candidate is a user-focused problem solver with a curiosity for complex software systems and a drive to build reliable, high-impact technology.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
- Proven experience managing and contributing to multiple GitHub repositories in a
collaborative environment.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Golang, Rust, Java, or C#, etc.).
- Experience building and operating distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift or similar) in a production setting.
- Deep understanding of relational databases, including SQL performance tuning and
- concurrency management (e.g., SQL Server).
- Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines for large-scale processing, and
supporting the analytics engineering team.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect, Airflow) and containerized
environments.
Nice to Have Skills
- Familiarity with optimization systems, simulation platforms, or operations research
