ABOUT THIS ROLE

As the Senior Sourcing Manager of New Product Introduction, you will be the architectural bridge between visionary engineering and scalable manufacturing. You are responsible for driving value creation early in the product lifecycle by integrating supplier innovation, should-cost modeling, and risk mitigation directly into the design process. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role where you will build LVT’s first formal Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) program, ensuring our next generation of AI-driven hardware is cost-competitive, high-quality, and resilient from day one.

This role is based in-office out of Spanish Fork, Utah.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead Early Sourcing Integration: Drive sourcing activities at the concept phase, ensuring supplier technologies are leveraged during technical design reviews to optimize performance and time-to-market.

• Establish ESI Governance: Develop and deploy LVT’s inaugural Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) program, including the formal processes, performance metrics, and governance frameworks.

• Strategic Supplier Selection: Identify and qualify strategic partners for new products, aligning selections with category strategies, scalability requirements, and global fulfillment needs.

• Drive Cost Excellence: Own and achieve cost targets for new product introductions by utilizing should-cost models and driving total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements.

• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the primary sourcing voice within NPI teams, translating technical requirements from Engineering and Program Management into actionable supply chain strategies.

• Optimize Product Design: Partner with Engineering to drive product simplification, part count reduction, and component reuse across platforms to enhance manufacturability.

• Proactive Risk Mitigation: Identify and de-risk single-source dependencies, capacity constraints, and geopolitical vulnerabilities before products move to mass production.

• Supplier Quality Partnership: Support the Supplier Quality Program by ensuring robust qualification and onboarding for all new NPI-related suppliers.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Experienced Sourcing Lead: You bring 15+ years of experience in Sourcing, Engineering, or NPI environments, with a proven track record of launching complex hardware products.

• Technical Fluency: You possess a deep understanding of manufacturing processes for electronics, PCBs, casted/machined components, and injected plastics, allowing you to engage credibly with hardware engineers.

• Strategic Builder: You have direct experience developing or leading supplier strategy programs and are comfortable building processes from scratch in a fast-paced environment.

• Master of TCO: You are expert in cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and look beyond piece-price to drive long-term margin health.

• Influential Communicator: You excel at stakeholder management and can influence cross-functional decisions without direct authority through data and relationship building.

• Problem Solver: You approach supply chain challenges with a structured, risk-assessment mindset and remain effective when operating in ambiguity.

• Global Perspective: You have extensive experience working with global supplier bases and understand the nuances of international sourcing and logistics.

• Education: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
