Role Description

As a senior electrical engineer specializing in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design within our Security Unit, you'll lead the development, implementation, and optimization of PCBs integral to our cutting-edge security hardware solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and security measures embedded within our PCB designs, contributing significantly to the fortified architecture of our security systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the entire lifecycle of PCB design, from conceptualization to prototyping and production, ensuring robust, secure, and efficient designs.
  • Continuously optimize PCB designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and adherence to security protocols and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical and electrical engineers, software developers, and security experts to integrate PCBs seamlessly into overall security architectures.
  • Technology Integration: Integrate advanced technologies, components, and protocols into the electrical systems, focusing on encryption, authentication, and robust security measures.
  • Drive innovation in PCB design, exploring advanced technologies, components, and methodologies to enhance security measures and performance.
  • Ensure all PCB designs comply with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate detailed documentation, including design specifications, schematics, and test reports, ensuring comprehensive records for traceability and future enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • **Design portfolio required**
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in FCC, CE, UL/ETL, and other regulatory requirements
  • Robust experience in mixed-signal design for enterprise-class systems
  • In-depth knowledge of signal integrity, timing, analog signal, and power rail quality analysis and debugging
  • Experience designing with MIPI, GMSL, PCIe, and/or DDR
  • Experience designing with SPI, CAN, I2C, and/or UART
  • End-to-end product design/development
  • Working knowledge of design for EMC and other typical regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency with schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools (e.g., Spice, MATLAB, Python, Allegro)
  • Expertise using all necessary test and measurement tools
  • Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes and materials
  • Ability to produce detailed documentation and design release processes
  • Experience with functional safety, including requirements derivation, documentation, and test approaches
