Role Description

As an FP&A Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding both accounting and business operations. As a team member, you’ll analyze and forecast operating expenses within the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and drive operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Continue to develop and help maintain the company's annual operating budget and long-term financial forecast. This involves collaborating with various departments to gather their input on assumptions, analyze historical data, and project future business performance.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and product development, to provide financial support, insights, and controls.
  • Financial Modeling: Maintain existing financial models and continually improve business scenarios, such as headcount and capacity planning, pricing strategies, and potential investments.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze key financial and operational metrics to assess the company's performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Identify trends, conduct variance analysis, and provide insights into areas of improvement or concern.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for business partners, including monthly/quarterly financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Two years of experience in a similar role – preferably at a SAAS company
  • Desire to help our team improve its ad-hoc tasks and month-end processes using automation
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Salesforce, and Tableau (or similar BI) is a plus
  • Demonstrating a balanced confidence that acknowledges the value of learning from mistakes while also possessing the courage to express opinions when appropriate
