ABOUT THIS ROLE
The company is seeking a transformative Head of IT Applications to lead and drive the strategy and execution of our enterprise IT systems. This role will oversee a team of skilled IT systems managers and analysts responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise IT applications. The ideal candidate will leverage their strategic vision and technical expertise to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
This role requires a strategic leader with exceptional communication skills and expertise in enterprise applications and SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Acumatica).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Enterprise Applications Strategy and Optimization:
- Oversee the administration, optimization, and integration of enterprise IT systems, including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Acumatica, and other SaaS platforms.
- Develop and implement best practices for system configuration, security, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and enhance system performance to drive operational efficiency.
Strategic Planning and Roadmapping:
- Collaborate with senior leadership and business stakeholders to define the strategic roadmap for enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct regular assessments of existing systems to identify areas for improvement, innovation, and scalability.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Set clear goals and priorities for the team, providing guidance and support to drive performance and achieve strategic objectives.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team, championing a culture of belonging and respect.
Vendor Management and Relationship Building:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners to ensure effective collaboration and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Negotiate contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), and pricing to optimize value and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Stay informed about vendor roadmaps and industry trends to anticipate changes and proactively address potential impacts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in managing and optimizing enterprise IT systems, with expertise in platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Acumatica (or similar)
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive performance.
- Comprehensive understanding of system integration and application management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, anticipate trends, and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI.
