As Material Technologies continues to expand, it will soon be launching DesignShop, a B2C platform that will drive commerce through an experience that starts with inspiration, utilizes advanced visualization, and is supported by the same powerful technology and logistics network that supports Material Bank today. DesignShop will heavily rely on MaterialBank warehouse infrastructure and a few software layers above it dealing with product and order data management.

Working with us as a Backend Engineer, you will notice we have several external solutions are being used in these layers - Talend as ETL, WinShuttle as PIM, Salesforce as OMS, CommerceTools as a headless e-comm, and others. Some of them are already integrated and being used by MaterialBank, and some of them will arrive specifically for the DesignShop needs.

What you’ll do:

• Building a highly scalable and evolvable tech platform for the product development
• System design for heavy loads, high requirements on speed and durability (CDN, Message Brokers, DB performance)
• Implementing Domain-Driven Design along with the whole team

What you’ll bring:

• NodeJS (Typescript), Go
• MongoDB (production experience required for DesignShop backend senior engineer)
• Microservices (design, communication, orchestration - production experience required)
• Docker, Kubernetes (basic DevOps experience)
• Domain-Driven Design understanding (nice to have)
• 5+ years of commercial development experience
• Proactivity and excellent self-organization skills
