Director of Facilities and Building Operations

Red Ventures is currently seeking a Director of Facilities and Building Operations to join our team! This role will lead and oversee all aspects of facilities management and maintenance operations across our campuses in Fort Mill, SC, New York, and Puerto Rico. It will involve strategic planning, budgeting, vendor management, and operational oversight to ensure the company’s facilities are maintained to company standards. This role will also work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to develop and execute maintenance strategies that support the company’s growth and operational goals.
This role will be required to be onsite 5 days per week at our Headquarters, located in Fort Mill, South Carolina (near Charlotte, North Carolina).
Work Experience
What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership and direction to facilities team members, including training, coaching, and development opportunities
- Reinforce a customer service-oriented attitude among team members to encourage the prioritization of leaders’ and tenants’ needs
- Lead the team in maintaining the spaces, buildings, furniture, and equipment in cleanliness and functionality to ensure the environment meets the tenants’ needs
- Develop and implement facilities management strategies and programs, in partnership with senior leadership and operational teams, to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all campus locations
- Meet with leaders and tenants to understand their needs in physical spaces, space utilization, and act on any feedback to optimize space and productivity
- Develop project plans with timelines and deliverables clearly defined
- Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs; ensure that all equipment and systems are in good working order
- Manage all major repairs, replacements, and capital improvement projects, including budgeting, contractor solicitation, bid review, and project oversight
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure vendor performance meets company standards
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards across all facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management
- Proven experience managing a facilities team and vendor relationships
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage vendor contracts and performance effectively
- Project management and construction oversight experience preferred
Benefits
Compensation:
- Total Cash Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000*
*Note actual salary is based on qualifications and experience.
