At Sanity.io, we're building the future of AI-powered Content Operations. Our AI Content Operating System gives teams the freedom to model, create, and automate content the way their business works, accelerating digital development and supercharging content operations efficiency. Companies like Figma, MoMA, SKIMS, Arc'teryx, Lady Gaga, Spotify, Anthropic, Riot Games, COMPLEX, Tecovas, and Shopify are using Sanity to power and automate their content operations.

Sanity is looking for a Senior Brand & Visual Designer to join our Marketing team and help push a brand with a strong point of view and the ambition to define its category across campaigns, web, events, social media, and bold creative ideas that shape how the future of content and publishing shows up in the world.

In this role, you'll shape how Sanity looks and feels in the market. You'll work closely with the Senior Creative Director of Marketing to turn product launches, campaigns, events, and big ideas into work that stands apart in a category full of lookalike B2B design. Some weeks that means building an entire campaign system; other weeks it's an event experience, a new web moment, OOH, social, or something we haven't made before.

You’ll join a global creative and marketing team working across San Francisco, London, and Oslo.

Do you love variety? Are you a tastemaker? Are you hands-on in your work? If designing a conference experience one week, shaping a product launch campaign the next, and creating an ambitious marketing web experience the week after sounds like the perfect month, this role is for you.

What you would do:

  • Bring the Sanity brand to life across campaigns, web, digital advertising, OOH, events, social, presentations, swag, and print, creating work that feels connected rather than channel-specific.

  • Make typography carry the brand: set the standard for how type behaves everywhere we show up, from a booth banner to a landing page hero.

  • Keep Sanity visually ahead of the category: stay close to design and culture, recognize what’s becoming overused, and help us avoid the visual sameness of B2B and SaaS.

  • Shape how the brand lives on the web through landing pages, campaign experiences, and interactive moments that are responsive, accessible, high-performing, and unmistakably Sanity.

  • Develop distinctive visual concepts and scalable creative systems that can stretch across channels, formats, and moments without losing the core idea.

  • Turn complex product positioning and technical ideas into clear, distinctive, and memorable visual communication.

  • Identify and drive opportunities where design can create outsized brand impact, not just respond to incoming requests.

  • Raise the creative bar across the team through strong visual judgment, direct feedback, and hands-on contribution to the work.

  • Carry the quality of an idea all the way through execution, ensuring the work holds up across every touchpoint.

  • Shape and evolve a cohesive web design language that scales across Sanity’s digital presence, balancing brand expression, usability, accessibility, and performance.

  • Shape event design from concept through execution: booths, environmental graphics, signage, stage content, badges, presentations, swag, and other branded experiences.

  • Build social design systems the team can scale while creating distinctive one-off work for launches, campaigns, and cultural moments.

  • Partner closely with the Senior Creative Director of Marketing to shape launches and campaigns from positioning through execution, bringing a strong point of view, challenging ideas when needed, and giving and receiving direct creative feedback.

  • Build shared assets, templates, and systems that help the broader team move faster without lowering the creative bar.

About you:

  • Location: US/Remote

  • 10+ years of experience in brand, visual, or marketing design, with a track record of owning high-impact creative work in-house, at an agency, or both.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual craft, strong conceptual thinking, and range across brand campaigns, digital experiences, web, events, social, OOH, and physical applications.

  • A body of work that shows more than polished execution: you can build visual systems, establish a point of view, and evolve a brand across multiple channels.

  • Exceptional visual judgment: you understand contemporary design culture, recognize where it’s moving, and know how to draw from trends without making the work feel derivative.

  • Exceptional command of typography, composition, hierarchy, color, and image-making, with fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Motion experience is a plus.

  • Deep fluency in designing for the web, including responsive systems, component-based design, information hierarchy, accessibility, and conversion. You are a brand designer who is exceptional in digital, not a product designer or a web designer with a side interest in brand.

  • Comfortable shifting between concepting, design execution, creative feedback, production, and multiple fast-moving projects, sometimes in the same day.

  • Highly self-directed and comfortable owning multiple projects from initial thinking through final execution, with strong judgment around priorities, pace, and trade-offs.

  • A thoughtful point of view on how AI is reshaping creative work, brand systems, and the future of content, with the judgment to know where it unlocks new possibilities and where traditional craft still wins.

  • A brand builder, not just an asset maker. You understand what makes an identity distinctive, know what should be protected, and can evolve the system without losing what makes it recognizable.

  • A strong conceptual thinker who can turn an ambiguous brief, complex product truth, or business problem into a clear creative idea and carry it through execution.

  • Strong marketing instincts: you understand how design can clarify positioning, create differentiation, build desire, and move an audience toward action.

  • Comfortable changing altitude constantly, from shaping the creative direction and system behind a campaign to refining typography, spacing, imagery, and final execution.

  • Experienced working within and evolving design systems, with good judgment around when consistency strengthens the brand and when breaking the system creates impact.

  • Confident presenting creative work, defending the thinking behind it, challenging feedback when necessary, and knowing when feedback makes the work stronger.

What sets you apart:

  • You have experience building integrated brand campaigns that turn complex product truths into compelling visual ideas and connect across channels, not just collections of individual assets.

  • Proven event experience at scale: you’ve designed for the real world, not just the screen, and understand how to carry a strong brand idea across conferences, environments, signage, and physical experiences.

  • Strong experience designing marketing websites at scale, including responsive systems, accessibility, modern web constraints, and close collaboration with engineers.

  • A track record of helping build, evolve, reposition, or significantly raise the creative bar of a brand at a startup or scaleup.

  • Proven ability to understand complex technical products and turn them into clear, compelling visual communication without flattening or oversimplifying the idea.

  • Comfortable designing across audiences, from developers and technical decision-makers to marketers, executives, and broader cultural audiences.

  • Deep understanding of digital brand design and how an identity needs to flex across websites, campaigns, social, motion, interactive experiences, and emerging formats.

  • Comfortable designing sophisticated marketing websites and digital experiences through the lens of brand, storytelling, and communication rather than product design.

  • Comfortable working directly with developers, motion designers, product marketers, event producers, fabricators, and external partners to take ambitious creative from idea to reality.

  • Strong understanding of how design translates from concept into the real world across both digital and physical experiences.

What we can offer:

  • Positive, flexible, and trust-based work environment that encourages long-term professional and personal growth
