The Business Analyst of Strategy & Corporate Development is a key contributor to the strategic planning and corporate growth initiatives of the organization. This role involves analyzing data, conducting research, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes within the strategy and corporate development functions. The Business Analyst plays a vital role in helping the company identify opportunities for growth, evaluate potential investments, and optimize strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis:
- Collect and analyze financial data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to provide insights on business performance and growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain management reporting dashboards, financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
Market Research:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and potential threats.
Strategic Planning Support:
- Assist in the development and execution of the company's strategic plan.
- Collaborate in the creation of strategic presentations and reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Analysis:
- Support M&A activities by conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and synergy assessments for potential acquisitions.
- Assist in the preparation of M&A proposals, business cases, and presentation materials.
Business Performance Tracking:
- Monitor and track the progress of strategic initiatives and corporate development projects.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide insights on project status and performance against goals.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, marketing, operations, and legal, to gather information and insights.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or strategy-related roles.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, financial modeling software, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex information to various audiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-environment work, extended periods of sitting or standing, computer-based work. Limited lifting, and equipment usage limited to computer-related equipment (keyboards, mouse, etc.)
