Media Relations Manager
The Media Relations Manager supports strategy and development of PR and external comms activities in Ireland. This person will help drive our brand, product, and thought leadership communications with the goal of managing and improving Workhuman’s reputation, brand awareness and authority externally.

Build and maintain relationships with key Irish journalists, leading inbound requests and ensuring coverage on various issues.
Drive Irish media coverage aligned with Workhuman’s key themes, supporting employer brand efforts, and securing opportunities to showcase employees in the media.
Develop and execute a comprehensive calendar and plan for press releases, PR engagements, and global campaign messaging, collaborating with the Marketing team.
Assist in identifying and pursuing paid media opportunities while crafting and pitching diverse stories to enhance the company’s presence and reputation.
Create briefing documents and talking points for executive and spokesperson media briefings and contribute to crisis communication efforts when necessary.
Collaborate with various teams, including marketing, customer marketing, internal comms, product, and analysts, to ensure media efforts align with corporate initiatives and support brand awareness campaigns.

The Skills you will bring
Possess a blend of strategic and tactical communications expertise, with the ability to develop, own, and execute successful launches and programs.
Operate swiftly and collaboratively across various topics, translating key themes and storylines for media while introducing innovative approaches to storytelling across diverse channels.
Excel as a highly organized and agile communicator, adept at managing a large volume of competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exhibit strong writing and verbal skills, proficient in creating a wide range of materials such as pitches, press releases, and bylines.
Manage high-profile, complex stories comfortably and bring strong analytical skills to translate qualitative results into quantifiable metrics for leadership teams.
Achievements (6 bullet points max)
6+ years in media relations or journalism.
You have a solid track record in driving media campaigns and leveraging high-level media contacts.
PR agency experience is a plus and enjoys working with media regularly
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Occasional travel may be required as part of the role
