Reporting to the Director, Contracts & Incentive Compensation, Workhuman is seeking our first global Senior Pricing & Profitability Manager– a leader who will be responsible for developing multi-channel pricing strategies and initiatives that support our company’s mission of helping our partners harness the power of their most valuable assets – their people. This individual will optimize the pricing of our products and services to maximize revenue and profitability while ensuring we bring the best value to our customer-partners. The role involves a combination of strategic thinking, data analysis, and market research, and will afford collaboration with a wide array of key internal business leaders from Sales and Customer Excellence to Legal, Marketing, Finance, Product and Technology to identify, analyze and execute profitable growth opportunities that will drive both top and bottom-line financial performance.

Please note this is a hybrid role requiring at least two days a week onsite in our Framingham, MA headquarters office.

  • You will be part of a select core team who will select and enable the implementation of our first enterprise Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) platform to streamline and automate Workhuman’s product configuration and price quote generation process.

  • Your work will have direct impact on future commission compensation strategies and plans.

The Skills you will bring

  • Experience developing and recommending new/revised methods for process and automation improvements and implementing solutions that require project managing stakeholders from enterprise-wide business disciplines.

  • Experience with profit optimization exercises that include analyses of both external (market trends, competitive landscapes, economic indicators) and internal (revenue aspirations, product costs, indirect costs, organizational readiness) factors.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by excellent written and oral communication skills. LSS or PMP Certification, a bonus.

  • A deep understanding of productization from both a marketing and merchandising perspective and its effect on automated CPQ platforms (both technology and workflow), preferably that of Salesforce.

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Strategy, Merchandising or Accounting required, some portion of which focused on the relationships of direct and indirect costs, and the impact of cost-to-serve and other operating expenses on setting market-appropriate prices.

Achievements

  • You have led complex, cross-functional, multi-stakeholder projects using formally recognized third-party process design/improvement or project management methodologies to improve both top and bottom-line company performance.

  • You have developed and implemented pricing strategies that support multi-channel opportunities while ensuring consistency in pricing and/or profitability.

  • You have developed and executed strategies, programs, reporting and incentives to drive profitable sales that also delivered a competitive differentiation, including category initiatives and new product and service capability launches.

  • You have delivered incremental company profits, through process design and improvement, cost negotiations, price increases, portfolio rehoming and/or logistics improvements.

  • Through internal and third-party partnerships, you have driven technological improvements to ensure internal stakeholder groups utilize best in class technology to improve selling or customer support performance.

  • As a member of a pricing team or Deal Desk, you have driven company results into the 20%+ Win range, while maintaining or improving overall profit rates.
