We are looking for a Benefits Specialist to join our growing HX (Human Experience) team where you will be a key point of contact for all things employee benefits. This role will play a key part in the overall Workhuman Benefits strategy, which aims to create a best-in-class benefits experience for our humans. While this role will primarily be responsible for administering and maintaining Ireland employee benefits, we are working towards globally aligning our benefits from country to country so there will be many opportunities for collaboration with the U.S. Benefits Team. This role will also report to the U.S. Benefits Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Human Experience (HX) team as a key contributor in employee Benefits. We love assisting employees with their benefit questions, helping our humans navigate and understand benefits, training new hires on all the benefits we offer and continuously improving our benefits package. We take pride in helping our employees understand benefits (that some may find confusing) and ensuring that each of our humans gets as much out of their benefits as possible – and each human is unique!
Who we're looking for:
Reporting to the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Specialist will administer all day-today benefit activities, assist with competitive benchmarking, maintain knowledge of changing regulations, and maintain a benefits repository where all benefits information is organized and kept up-to-date. You will become to go-to person for employee Benefits in Ireland, so the right candidate will be approachable, have excellent customer service skills, and maintain a high level of confidentiality. The right person will bring lots of energy, a passion for employee benefits, and an appetite and curiosity for learning.
Responsibilities:
New hire benefits onboarding/offboarding
Day-to-day benefits support and questions
Assist with competitive benchmarking and make recommendations for future benefit enhancements
Create and maintain a benefits repository (organization of all vendor contracts, plan documents, employee benefit materials etc.)
Main point of contact for Leave of Absence requests, administering internal policies and educating employees on statutory benefits available
Coordination and partnership with IRE payroll
Support Benefits compliance efforts (required notices, changing legislation and corresponding employee communications)
Maintenance of Benefits worklet in Workday including vendor links, plan documents, overview and summaries
Assist in development of employee communications including quarterly newsletters, quarterly beneficiary reminders, on-going employee education efforts, scheduling and promoting webinars, creation of Workhuman-branded Benefits Summaries for candidates/existing employees
Support Benefits projects including policies and procedure documentation, Workday configuration and testing of Time off and Leave plans (with vendor), adding new benefits in the future
Ensure compliance by keeping up with changing regulatory environment and HRIS integration
Skills/Competencies:
3-5 years of Benefits experience required
Understanding of benefit plans, benefit in kind, governmental benefit programs and Benefit regulatory landscape
Bachelor’s degree or certification in related field preferred
Experience with an HRIS system preferred (Workday is ideal) and understanding of benefit file feed integrations
Excellent time management, prioritization and customer service skills
High attention to detail
Intellectual curiosity
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal. Comfortable presenting Benefits onboarding to new hires
High interpersonal skills with the ability to create trusting and engaging relationships
Team player with open-minded attitude, willing to help where needed and dive into various projects
Positive and enthusiastic about creating exceptional employee experiences for all
Qualifications:
Degree or Masters in HR/Business or related discipline (desirable but not essential)
