This is an extremely exciting and rewarding opportunity to work with like-minded Architects on designing innovative solutions for an expanding data platform. In this position you will join a growing team of Architecture/Platform specialists developing a world class data platform to support our customers, products, researchers, and back-office. You will be playing a hands-on role to establish, lead and evolve Workhuman’ s Data Governance vision.

  • Lead & support the rolling out of data governance framework as a key enabler of our data transformation and drive the development of data quality framework, Business glossary, data quality, data lineage, and metadata and drive adoption across the enterprise for key data domains like recognition, finance, operations, sales & marketing.
  • Define scope and priorities for developing, deploying and/or improving data management standards, policies, and processes enhancing the quality and completeness of the Workhuman’ s data.
  • Establish, lead, and evolve Workhuman’ s Data Governance vision.
  • Develop/Drive Workhuman wide Data Governance strategy to manage the information life cycle effectively. Working closely with senior management and other stakeholders to ensure it aligns with overall data governance objectives.

The skills you bring:

  • Knowledge/Experience (Technical or professional information needed to perform role)
  • Strong understanding of data governance concepts, data quality principles, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks and processes.
  • Experience with data governance/data catalog technology solutions including hands-on usage and configuration/setup best practices.
  • Proficiency in metadata management, data lineage, and data quality tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes, and design principles.
  • Operational familiarity in the use of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms.
  • Experience in a Data governance role, preferably in a SaaS (Software as a Service) company.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, SOX, PII (Personal Identifiable Information) and other data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.
  • Strong understanding of B2B business model and data domains like customer, user, finance, operations, marketing & sales, etc.
  • Effective communication and proven experience in working with business & IT for requirement gathering sessions/workshops.
  • You have experience on business intelligence tools, data modelling and familiarity with data warehouse concepts such as star schema, data de-normalizing patterns.
  • A comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation (extract, transform and load) processes and the supporting AWS (Amazon Web Services) technologies such as S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Quicksight, other analytics products.
  • Excellent communication and presentational skills, confident and methodical approach, and able to work within a team environment.

Achievements:

  • 3 – 5+ years’ experience in data quality management, information architecture and governance design and implementation, with considerable influence on overall direction of data governance management
  • 10+ years of Software Development/Architecture experience
