The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist who will play a critical role in the Accounts Payable team, supporting the Lead Accounts Payable Specialist, and reporting directly to the Associate Manager, Accounts Payable. As an Accounts Payable (AP) team, we work closely with key business stakeholders to support the delivery of top quality financial and administrative services to Workhuman globally. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to enhance AP processes, partner directly with internal and external stakeholders, and make value-added contributions to the AP function that will support future growth of the business.

The Skills you will bring

  • Demonstrated capability to analyse complex invoices, payments, and operational reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.

  • Proficient in resolving AP Jira tickets efficiently within established SLAs, while effectively addressing payment-related escalations from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven track record in ensuring coding accuracy of invoices, meticulous preparation of reports, and thorough review of operational data to identify discrepancies and ensure precision.

  • Ability to professionally communicate with stakeholders, providing timely updates on payment statuses and addressing queries with clarity and efficiency.

  • Proficiency in identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements, from conception to execution, to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Ability to manage medium-sized projects aimed at process enhancements, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Capable of covering senior team members' responsibilities during their absence, ensuring continuity and adherence to SLAs.

Achievements

  • Typically 4+ years of experience with proven success delivering results within a fast-paced Accounts Payable Specialist role.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, charts, formulas etc.)

  • Advanced using Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Experience using an ERP system (e.g., Epicor, SAP etc.).
