Job Description:

The Opportunity:

We’re seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious, data-driven, technical, and business-oriented Principal Analyst to shepherd Workhuman into the next generation of our product experience and value proposition: leveraging Workhuman’s rich data to surface actionable people insights to our customers, to continue to drive incremental customer ROI.

Workhuman is rolling out a new embedded BI tool inside our product where customers can self-serve data consumption and conduct their own exploratory analyses on top of their recognition data. The Principal Analyst will be responsible for building data models and dashboards that power this tool to put data directly in the hands of our customers.

The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter who can put themselves in the mindset of the customer and produce technical data & analytics solutions to maximize value of the analytics our customers will leverage. They will partner with Product Management and Customer Success to ideate, prioritize, and build powerful analytics content inside our in-product BI interface.

**This is a hybrid role requiring at least two days a week onsite in our Framingham, MA HQ office**

Responsibilities:

  • Own the development, iteration, and maintenance of production data models and dashboards that we surface through a proprietary interface in our product for customers to self-serve on their own analysis

  • Partner with Product Management and Customer Success to prioritize backlog of reports, ideate on ideal visuals to display to customers to maximize value of the recognition program data we share

  • Leverage our in-product reporting capabilities to automate legacy manual data sharing practices across the organization

  • Partner with the broader Business Analytics team to collaborate on data modeling, best practices & approaches, and participate in code reviews

  • Innovate, thought lead, and level-up analytics practices within a quickly growing and maturing data organization

Desired skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated history of building optimized production-grade data models that power dashboards and live technology solutions

  • Proficient in SQL with experience querying large datasets in a cloud computing environment

  • Demonstrated expertise visualizing data & building dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Looker, Quicksight, etc.

  • Strong business intuition & ability to enter a customer mindset

  • Strong communication & project management skills and a highly collaborative approach to problem-solving

  • BA/BS or equivalent technical certification, preferably in a quantitative discipline
