The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced NLP Data Scientist to join our team in developing Workhuman's AI solutions. The NLP data scientist serves as key resource and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on efforts to develop scalable, efficient, automated NLP and ML solutions for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.

What we can offer you:

  • The opportunity to build machine learning and NLP models for Workhuman NLP/AI products. Selecting appropriate model architectures, tuning hyperparameters, etc.

  • Write and maintain a robust library of reusable algorithms and supporting code, such that research efforts are transparently conducted and reproducible, and can be productionized.

  • Work in partnership with fellow Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Software Engineers, and Product Managers. Offer expert guidance, disseminate research outcomes, and facilitate clear and efficient information exchange among technical and non-technical team members.

  • Experiment with various NLP techniques and state-of-art ML frameworks to continuously improve Workhuman’s AI products.

  • Set up experiments and benchmarks to compare different NLP approaches and models. Evaluate model performance using relevant metrics and understand the trade-offs between different approaches.

  • Proactively tackle ethical, bias, and fairness challenges in NLP models and datasets, ensuring that that the developed systems comply with ethical and compliance standards and are devoid of detrimental biases.

  • Translates complex analytical and technical concepts to non-technical employees to enable understanding and drive informed business decisions.

  • Be committed to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest research, tools, and best practices in the fast-evolving field of AI.

The Skills you will bring

  • Ideally, 4+ years of industry experience working with NLP or AI products.

  • Programming skills in Python.

  • Experience building Generative AI solutions and chatbots, including proficiency in the use of frameworks like LangChain and LLamaIndex and experience doing prompt engineering and validation of Generative AI Solutions

  • Experience with state-of-art machine learning and natural language processing toolkits such as Sklearn, Gensim, Spacy, NLTK, etc

  • Experience with at least one of the deep learning toolkits, such as Tensorflow, Pytorch, Keras, etc.

  • Experience developing products that utilize advanced machine learning and NLP techniques along with transitioning those solutions from the development environment into the production environment.
