Job Description:

We are excited to welcome a Financial Accountant to the Finance team. This is an 18-month contract role, for a maternity leave cover.

The role reports to the Senior Finance manager and will focus on accounting for cost of sales across all group companies. This is a great opportunity to grow your career, providing a platform for the successful candidate to gain excellent experience and exposure to all aspects of the financial accounting function.

The work is varied and challenging. The Finance team has a wealth of experienced and supportive professionals who will provide mentorship and assist with professional development.

What we can offer you

  • An opportunity to work on all aspects of the financial accounting function, including but not limited to:
  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of US GAAP accounts for the group
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all closing activities as per agreed close calendar
  • Assist in interim and annual external audits
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Weekly upload of FX, Daily purchase of FX as required
  • Review AP coding for merchandise & shipping invoices and credits.
  • Ownership of balance sheet accounts – posting all relevant journals, reconciliation and analysis. Organising and presenting quarterly review for specific BS accounts.
  • Participate in the preparation and presentation of the quarterly COGS review pack
  • Ensuring Internal controls are completed and maintained
  • An opportunity to work with all finance stakeholders, assisting and participating in the quarterly preparation and presentation of the finance pack to the entire finance group.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organisation – AP, FP&A, AR, Operations and Tax

The Skills you will bring

  • Qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA) with at least 3 years industry experience
  • Experience with month end and quarter end financial accounting close processes
  • Strong organizational skills and a drive for process optimisation
  • A positive mindset, fostering collaboration and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems
