Job Description:
This is a 12 month fixed term contract position and requires you to be in our Park West, Dublin 12 office 3 days a week.
Our Admin Experience teams are at the forefront of how Workhuman supports our clients program admins and decision makers with their recognition programs. These teams design, deliver and support innovative solutions that give our customers insights into how their recognition programs are performing whilst giving them admin tools to self-serve their program needs.
Our apps foster a more frictionless experience for our clients employees enabling them to enjoy a culture of recognition and celebration within their workplaces. The team’s work is central to our company mission of shaping the future of work by helping organisations connect and enhance their cultures through recognition.
Technical stack:
Java, Oracle, Postgres, Spring, Kafka, RESTful webservices, AWS, Python, Apache Camel, Kubernetes, Docker/Containerization, PL/SQL, TestNG, Selenium Webdriver, JMeter, Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Git.
What we can offer you:
You will have the opportunity to work with distributed development teams continuously delivering solutions that will enhance our SaaS platform capability.
You will partner with our business team and be part of the design discussions/decisions as well as implementing the designs.
You will contribute to sprint planning & backlog refinement sessions, daily stand-ups and retrospectives with our technology teams
You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
You will have a passion for learning and introducing new technologies
The skills you will bring:
You have 2+ years experience developing web-based applications at the enterprise level.
You can write code that is easy to understand, change and maintain.
You can spot opportunities to improve testing.
You have experience in proactively improving components, modules, services and codebases that you have encountered.
You are accomplished at delivering well-defined complex tasks with a good level of independence.
You are competent in the use of: Java, Spring, cloud platforms and databases
Achievements:
You have a track record of developing robust Java web applications, both in backend processing and as a full-stack web application.
Demonstrated involvement in interacting with databases and data storage best practices.
You are familiar with RESTful as an API design/have experience integrating with middle tier Java applications.
Experience with AWS and Cloud-first applications is a plus.
Experience using Git, or similar version-control systems, issue tracking, and committing code
