Role Overview:

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to take charge of our US General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions. This role is instrumental in maintaining the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring adherence to US regulations, and executing month-end transactions and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust accounting background, a comprehensive understanding of US financial regulations, and a proven ability to manage GL and AP within a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the accounting department, focusing on US GL and AP.
  • Ensure strict compliance with US accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage month-end closing processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Work closely with the finance team to optimize AP processes, guaranteeing timely vendor payments and accurate financial records.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Analyze financial data and reports to provide insights and recommendations for financial optimization and regulatory compliance.
  • Keep abreast of changes in US accounting regulations and communicate these changes effectively to the finance team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA) is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on GL and AP functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of US accounting standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

We have determined a salary range for this position that takes into account several factors including experience, knowledge, education, skills, and abilities. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. The exact salary will be determined based on the individual’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to the factors listed above. All employee benefits include a stake in shared success through stock options, health benefits, 401(k) plan, generous PTO, and a parental leave program.

$90,000$100,000 USD
