About The Role

We’re looking to add a senior frontend engineer to our exceptional team to help support our goal of expanding access to, and improving the quality of, financial planning at all levels.

You’ll work across our Vue.js codebase — from extending legacy features to building new ones from scratch — with the autonomy to make decisions and the responsibility to own the results. We value simple, pragmatic code that works, over clever abstractions and pre-optimization. You’ll need to balance the trade-offs between shipping quickly and maintaining long-term code health, making decisions that serve both our customers and our codebase.

We’re looking for a humble team player, seeking to integrate and adapt to established standards, while bringing fresh new ideas and perspectives for discussion. Time management, attention to detail, and strong communication are essential to success in our organization. Most importantly, you should be a lifelong learner eager to understand not just the code, but the inner workings of the application itself.

What You’ll Do

• Work with Product Managers and Designers to build new features and maintain existing functionality across our Vue.js application
• Work with our world class support team to debug and resolve production issues ● Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback ● Apply your background and experience to make architectural decisions ● Communicate effectively to ensure task scope and direction with stakeholders ● Take ownership of your code and its outcomes

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of professional JavaScript development experience
• 3+ years of professional experience with modern JS frameworks
• 1+ years of professional experience with Vue specifically
• Proven track record of independently delivering features from concept to production ● Excellent communication skills with an “early and often” approach
• Comfortable working in existing codebases, including legacy code maintenance

Nice to Have

• SaaS or FinTech experience
• Experience in Bootstrap-Vue or TailwindCss
• Understanding of financial planning concepts or willingness to learn quickly
